I also really love to ride. I was wondereing recently why it is so addicting. Same scenery as I could see from a car but there is just something so much more exhillerating, freeing and thrilling. Mind you, I am not a crazy rider. I am very focused on safety because I want to ride for many years to come. Seeing the world from two wheels is a totally different perspective. And you ride roads that you would never see when going on a trip in a car.
So Friday morning, March 13, we will throw our legs over our bikes and begin a journey to the Big Bend area of southwest Texas. Neither Jim nor I have ever been there. And without the bikes, I'm not sure we would have ever gone there. The riding in that area is supposed to be really excellent. And the bluebonnets are already blooming there! A nice little extra. There are four couples total on this trip. Our good friends, Patty and Perry will meet up with us at 6AM in Weatherford for our ride to Alpine. The other two couples are friends of theirs and will be riding to Alpine from Brownwood. We are all staying in Alpine.
Wednesday will be packing day and a trial run on our bikes with our baggage to test our system for securing them to the bikes.
